River ApartHouse - a website for apartments in Zakopane

River ApartHouse is an intimate three-apartment property on Harenda, only 700 metres from the ski lift. Cosy interiors, a thoughtful host and a position beneath the Tatras give it plenty to offer. We built its first website to generate calls and direct bookings outside Booking.com.

About the project

  • Three apartments for 2-6 guests in different layouts
  • 700 metres from the Harenda Ski lift
  • Free parking, a playground, barbecue and garden loungers
  • Year-round stays with skiing in winter and trails or cycling in summer
  • Close to central Zakopane, Gubałówka and the Podhale thermal baths

The challenge

No independent online presence

The property had no website, while local competitors had years of Google history and hundreds of portal listings. The new site needed to close that gap quickly.

Selling the location

A ski slope beyond the fence is a decisive advantage. Photography, maps and copy needed to make it unmistakable before guests continued their search.

Competing with booking portals

Booking.com and Airbnb dominate search results. The independent website gives guests a clear reason to book directly and avoid commission.

What we did

1

Guest journey and UX

We mapped accommodation search, comparison and decision-making. Location, price, facilities and booking answer the common questions before a guest needs to ask them.

2

Design with a mountain feel

Panoramic images of the Tatras and apartment interiors lead a bright, spacious layout. Type and colour keep it cosy and restrained, with a presentation strong enough to stand apart from comparison sites.

3

Angular and SSR development

Angular with Server-Side Rendering provides quick loading, complete indexation and smooth page transitions. The Lighthouse score is above 95 and mobile behaviour remains reliable.

4

Booking and contact

The phone number stays visible throughout the site alongside an online booking CTA. A short form asks for dates and guest count, while Google Maps gives the exact address and directions.

5

SEO and Google Business

We targeted Zakopane Harenda apartments and accommodation near Zakopane ski slopes. LodgingBusiness structured data, Google Business, maps and reviews support local discovery.

These figures describe this specific project. Results for another business will depend on its starting point, market and available data.

Bookings outside Booking.com

Booking portals charge 15-25% commission on each transaction, which is a real loss for a small property. An independent website with a visible phone number and online booking button builds direct guest relationships and keeps a greater share of the revenue.

Summary

River ApartHouse received a clear, quick website with photography, directions and online booking. Guests see the apartments and the ski slope beyond the fence, then know exactly how to make contact.

How many customers is your old website costing you?
Let us find out.

A free consultation and a practical plan within 24 hours. We take on no more than 3 projects at once, so your work gets our full attention.

Common questions

How much does an apartment website cost?
Websites start at PLN 2,000 net. Apartment count, languages and booking integrations determine the final cost. The result is bespoke, quick and visible in Google.
Can an independent website replace Booking.com?
Booking portals retain useful reach, and an independent website adds direct guest relationships. It also saves the 15-25% commission on bookings from returning guests and Google traffic.
Can I change prices and availability myself?
Yes. We connect a simple panel for schedules and pricing, so seasonal rates and blocked dates can be managed without contacting the agency.
How long does a website take to build?
A typical accommodation website takes 4-6 weeks from kickoff to publication. Ready apartment photography and copy can shorten the schedule. Design, development and testing are included.
Will the website work well on mobile phones?
Yes. Most guests search on a smartphone, sometimes at the last minute. We start with the mobile view, and SSR keeps the first load quick on weaker connections.
