Paweł Kubacka Luthier - a master violin maker's online portfolio

Paweł Kubacka is a Polish master luthier who makes violins and violas by hand from carefully selected timber. His instruments reach musicians around the world. The website gives that work the serious, assured presentation it deserves.

About the project

  • Handmade master-grade violins and violas
  • Individual commissions for musicians in Poland and abroad
  • The complete process from timber selection to finishing
  • Repair and restoration of string instruments
  • Work with orchestras and soloists

The challenge

Presenting craft through imagery

The quality of a handmade instrument is seen and heard before it can be explained. Photography and visual design had to meet that same standard.

An international market

Musicians around the world search for instruments in English. Full Polish and English versions, each with correct SEO, were part of the foundation.

Visibility from zero

The new domain had no history. Industry, local and international phrases all needed a sound technical base from day one.

What we did

1

Brand strategy and positioning

Professional musicians, collectors and conservatoire students became the central audience. A dark palette, warm gold accents and generous photography followed from that profile.

2

UX and information architecture

Instruments, the making process, gallery and contact form a spare navigation. The story moves from first impression to a commission enquiry without clutter.

3

Dark design with warm details

The background gives violin-varnish golds a quiet glow. Full-screen instrument photographs, measured entrance motion and carefully chosen type support the character of the craft.

4

Angular, SSR and i18n development

Angular with Server-Side Rendering provides quick loading and full indexation. Separate PL and EN URLs, hreflang and a Lighthouse score above 95 give both language versions a strong technical base.

5

Specialist international SEO

We targeted "luthier Poland", "violin maker Poland" and "lutnik Polska", supported by Schema.org, Google Business and internal links. The first international enquiries arrived within a month.

Organic traffic

These figures describe this specific project. Results for another business will depend on its starting point, market and available data.

Bilingual by design

Lutherie is an international market. Musicians in Germany, the USA, Japan and Italy search in English, so we built a complete EN version with separate URLs and hreflang. The contact form supports both languages and identifies the language of each enquiry automatically.

Summary

Paweł Kubacka received a portfolio that reflects the standard of his work. Warm details sit against a dark gallery-like design, giving large instrument photographs and the making story room to breathe. A bilingual contact form opens the work to international clients.

How many customers is your old website costing you?
Let us find out.

A free consultation and a practical plan within 24 hours. We take on no more than 3 projects at once, so your work gets our full attention.

Common questions

How much does a portfolio for a craftsperson or artist cost?
Websites start at PLN 2,000 net. Page count, languages and the degree of visual customisation determine the final cost. We prepare the quote free of charge.
Can a website run in Polish and English?
Yes. International projects receive full i18n, separate URLs and hreflang tags. Google indexes both versions independently, giving each language its own organic reach.
How do you create a portfolio?
We begin with the craft and its customers, then move through visual design, approval, development and testing. The process takes 4-8 weeks depending on scope, followed by launch guidance and support.
Can I add new work to the gallery myself?
Yes. A simple gallery panel lets you add photographs and descriptions without contacting the agency. It supports both language versions.
Does SEO work for a niche such as lutherie?
Yes. Niche searches usually have less competition and visitors with strong purchase intent. A well-prepared specialist website can overtake established competitors within a few months.
